Tori Amos Picture
Born Myra Ellen Amos, the daughter of Reverend Edison Amos and Mary Ellen Amos, on August 22, 1963, in North Carolina. She was a piano prodigy from the beginning, playing by ear at age 2 1/2, and writing her own songs by age 4. It's been said that by age 5, she could play anything on the piano after hearing it only once. She won a scholarship at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland - the youngest person ever to be admitted there. She always ran into trouble there, as they discouraged her from composing her own music.

Bliss Lyrics

Tori Amos

Father I killed my monkey
I let it out
To taste the sweet of spring
Wonder if I will wander out
Test my tether to
See if Im still free
From you
Steady as it comes
Right down
To you
Ive said it all
So maybe were a bliss
Of another kind
Lately Im in to circuitry
What it means to be
Made of you but not enough of you
And I wonder if
You can bilocate is that what I taste
Your supernova juice
You know its true Im a part of you
Steady as it comes
Right down to you
Ive said it all
So maybe youre a 4 horse engine
With a power drive
A hot kachina who want into mine
Take with your terracide
Were a bliss of another kind
