Tori Amos Picture
Born Myra Ellen Amos, the daughter of Reverend Edison Amos and Mary Ellen Amos, on August 22, 1963, in North Carolina. She was a piano prodigy from the beginning, playing by ear at age 2 1/2, and writing her own songs by age 4. It's been said that by age 5, she could play anything on the piano after hearing it only once. She won a scholarship at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland - the youngest person ever to be admitted there. She always ran into trouble there, as they discouraged her from composing her own music.

Beulah Land Lyrics

Tori Amos

Beulah land
Got a wasted gun
Liquorice man
Some you are
Sometimes
Got something in that saying
Beulah girl
You better hitch me up
Got some candy
And sweet saying
Give me religion
And a lobotomy
Beulah land
Beautiful home
Tell me when
I dont need you anymore
Said that somewhere
Youre gonna get something
Theyre so
Youre right in the middle
And then Im you
Something is coming back again
I said
You
Maybe I dont wanna go
To where youre not
So
Beulah land
Find me one
Place to be
Is by your...
Gotta rubber ball
And a crocodile
Gonna float
And past your home
And say when, just
Say when, just
Say when
